SRWA members and friends – let’s Join MarliesPaddles for an epic paddling event “La Grande Riviere Shawsheen” (or, The Grand Shawsheen!). This trip is planned, pre-scouted, and led by Marlies. Meet at 9:00 at the Grace Drive, Wilmington put-in (for GPS use 48 or 49 Grace Drive). We’ll drop off boats between 48 and 49 Grace Drive, bring cars to Ballardvale Dam in Andover and carpool back (20 min each way). We plan to paddle from 10am – 3pm. 8 mi flat water. Paddle downstream suburban wilderness. A suggested donation of 15$ is appreciated. SRWA members, and navigation labor volunteers should not be charged for this Saturday’s trip

So much work has been going on from Billerica through Andover to make the Shawsheen navigable for recreational paddles and we want to wrap up a great season of paddling with a GRAND celebration of this work! Thanks to Marlies for the planning!
