  Great collaboration between the Shawsheen Greenway and the Shawsheen River Watershed Association to make the passage in low water at KOC navigable.  

The afternoon was good. Interestingly the water level trying to go through the aqueduct was very low making it impossible to paddle against the current. Paddle continued hitting the bottom. Neither of us could go through. Going upstream was great. Beautiful paddling day! Laurie, Alice, and Barbara put in at Knights of Columbus, Tewksbury and paddled upstream through the inundated marsh aiming for the Whipple launch. Fast moving water, high water, beautiful skies, budding maples, joyful meandering. Alice and Barbara had a delightful paddle from the Horn Bridge yesterday. There’s one obstruction closer to Dale St but we were able to get through it by bending as much as possible in our kayaks. Blue skies beckon our boat, but … Today’s Tewksbury paddle proved 🔺hazardous 🔺due to high water. Do not try this: Dropped off canoe at KOC, spotted the car downstream at River Pines, Andover. Drove back to KOC to start paddling.
