Kayak Jack enjoys a paddle on the Shawsheen River
Jack Brady, former SWRA president, visited Andover in August enjoying a paddle on the river with another former president, Bob Rauseo. Both men were founders of  SRWA. On May 20, SRWA participated in the 1st State of the Waters Conference which brought together representatives of federal , Massachusetts and New Hampshire state agencies, as well as regional organizations such as Nashua River Watershed Association, OARS, Merrimack River Watershed Council, several New Hampshire groups and others. Shawsheen River Cleanup: Saturday, May 14 in Billerica
SRWA recently held a successful river cleanup. Volunteers worked both on land and from kayaks . Items recovered from the river include tires, bottles, cans, plastic bags, bottles, bubble wrap, a recycling bin, lots of styrofoam, a pillow, and even a chain saw.
