Art from Recycling Treasures Found
in the Shawsheen River
The pieces I create from river refuse give new, often humorous, purpose to items and functions that once were useful. Posing the questions: When in our history were they a common, even a necessary, part of our daily life? What replaced them, making them obsolete? And why don’t people dispose of such items properly rather than toss them in the Shawsheen River?
