Peggy Rambach

Peggy Rambach:

Known as a writer and teacher of writing for the majority of her career, Peggy Rambach, M.A. M.F.A. began to draw in 2016 when she urged her students to illustrate their writing. Then she expanded from pencil to pastel, and more recently to colored pencil and gouache/watercolor. She learned pastel and colored pencil technique in several day-long workshops taught by established artists, but as a pastel artist, Peggy is primarily self-taught. Currently, Peggy is studying gouache and watercolor under the guidance of illustrator, Carol Schwartz (csillustration.com). As a result of the pandemic, Peggy will likely retire earlier than planned from teaching in women’s programming at the Suffolk County House of Correction. Instead, as her new vocation, Peggy will pursue pastel pet portraiture and natural science illustration.
