On August 26th, the SRWA needs your help with a major cleanup and tree removal on the Shawsheen River in Tewksbury. Multiple trees have piled up and created an impassable dam in the river that needs to be removed. We will meet at the new canoe launch called Brown Street Access at the intersection of Brown, Nichols, and Whipple at 9 AM. We will be cleaning the accumulated trash and cutting the wood necessary for watercraft to safely pass. Whole trees will not be removed. All volunteers should bring their own kayaks and life vests. If You have a canoe to help transport logs, it would help greatly. Please join us to help make the Shawsheen clean and navigable for all. You can contact us at Shawsheenriver@gmail.com
