AVIS and the Andover Arts & Cultural Alliance have teamed up to give artists a chance to work out of doors. In a summers long exhibit, Art Along the Trails brings a variety of art to the AVIS properties. Sharon Lapham’s project, Imitation/Invitation, is now installed at the Vale Reservation. Sharon is currently vice-president of SRWA and artist Sue Millman, who is an SRWA member and past president, have painted 10 + watercolor “portraits” of the bark of individual trees for the month of July. Each portrait is pinned to their specific tree along the trails of the Vale Reservation. Our portraits are meant to imitate their amazing subtleties of textures, patterns & coloration.
