Shawsheen River Cleanup: Saturday, May 14 in Billerica
SRWA recently held a successful river cleanup. Volunteers worked both on land and from kayaks . Items recovered from the river include tires, bottles, cans, plastic bags, bottles, bubble wrap, a recycling bin, lots of styrofoam, a pillow, and even a chain saw. The SRWA will participate in Billerica’s volunteer based cleanup day on May 14th. We will be hosting a paddle along the Billerica stretch starting at Pinehurst Park, and ending at a path off Buckingham Dr. We will meet at 10:00 AM.
