Come celebrate Ballardvale on October 16th from 10am to 2pm!

Discover the History, Culture, Trails, and Community that define the Ballardvale district.

  • Hike the Burns and Vale Reservation and then stop by the AVIS table to find out about their other reservations throughout town.

  • Take part in a guided hike of historic Pole Hill & learn what happened there long ago.

  • Learn how to cast a fishing line on the Ballardvale Greenfrom local fishing enthusiast.

  • Bounce for joy, paint a picture of the new Ballardvale Fire Station and enjoy other activities run by the Andover Recreation Department.

  • Get crafty at the Andover Islamic Center‘s table & see what Halloween surprises they may have in store.

  • Learn more about the Shawsheen River at the Shawsheen River Watershed Association‘s table. Bring your watercraft and paddle the river from the mill pond on Andover Street or the put in at the end of Dale Street.

  • Find out more about the great work that the Andona Societydoes when they’re not clowning around at Clown Town.

  • See what the Andover Community Trust does to create affordable housing in Andover in partnership with the Greater Lawrence Technical School… and maybe meet some of the GLTS students who help build the houses.

  • Learn more about Ballardvale from the Ballardvale Historic District Commission table.

  • Discover some of Ballardvale’s history at the Andover Center for History & Culture‘s narrated history stops.

  • Share memories of growing up in the Vale with the Andover TV crew.

  • Enjoy local businesses.

This is a FREE EVENT with FREE parking in the MBTA Ballardvale Station parking lot (190 Andover St.) and the Ballardvale United Church parking lot (23 Clark Rd.)     (no rain date)
