The members of the SRWA invite the public to join us on Saturday, June 24, 2017 for an evening paddle on the Shawsheen River in recognition of the Summer Solstice. We will meet at 6:00PM at Shawsheen Pines, Lowell Junction Rd., Andover (the Andover conservation land opposite Pfizer Corp.)

 

Bring your kayak/canoe and gear, including PFDs, appropriate  clothing, paddles & a snack.(bottled water will be provided).

 

We will first paddle upstream into meadows to observe the  solstice sunset event, then downstream to the take out before dark. The event will be held rain or shine. Non-members will be required to sign waiver.

 

For over twenty years the Shawsheen River Watershed Association (SRWA) has been cleaning and paddling the Shawsheen River in all the communities that it flows through, from Lexington to Lawrence, where it empties into the Merrimack River.
