SRWA recently held a successful river cleanup. Volunteers worked both on land and from kayaks . Items recovered from the river include tires, bottles, cans, plastic bags, bottles, bubble wrap, a recycling bin, lots of styrofoam, a pillow, and even a chain saw. There were areas with tires and metal that we could not remove due to lack of equipment and manpower, so they will have to wait until another cleanup this summer. The river cleanup was part of the Billerica volunteer based cleanup day on May 14th.
