The Town of Billerica will host it’s annual Cleanup Greenup Day on May 6th. Residents (and others from different towns) are encouraged to cleanup the areas in town that they believe need it most. The SRWA will be proudly participating once again to help clean the Billerica stretch of the river. We will meet at Pinehurst Park (780 Boston Rd) at 10:00 AM. Volunteers are encouraged to bring tools necessary to remove tires, metal, and possibly furniture. This may include a wheelbarrow, clippers, shovels, rakes, hand rakes, and anything else to help get the job done. All participants should sign up at the Billerica Senior Center on the day of to receive free trash bags, gloves, and coffee. See you there.
Directions: Take Route 62 going west to Billerica, and when it meets up with Route 3A stay on Route 3A into Billerica and Akeson field is a right after the set of lights at Cook St. This way is good because you miss going through Billerica Ctr, which is a mess right now due to road construction.
